Why is Firefox downloading .json files and how do I stop it?

Since two weeks ago, Firefox has downloaded stg-backup-[date]@drive4ik.json files in folder "STG-backups-FF-80.0.1" under downloads.

I have no idea why and I want it to stop. Anyone know anything?

Chosen solution

These files come from the Simple Tab Groups add-on's backup system. You can adjust the frequency and/or location of the backups and even disable them altogether through the add-ons settings menu.

Hope this helps.
