I just turned on my laptop today as usual and when I was going to open Firefox it said to me to log into my profile, I did not understand? I made a profile because there was not one already and now all my bookmarks and history and cookies are gone! I don't know is there updates?! I did not update my laptop or my firefox ever! I am very upset and I have to log into all accounts again and my passwords not saved! Explain to me how to fix problem and why firefox allowed to to delete your history for fun without request?!

If you go to the about:profiles page in Firefox, do you see more than one profile listed there?

Sometimes what happens is that Firefox detects that you have installed a new version and will create a new profile for you. If you see more than one profile listed on the above page, try clicking the Launch profile in new browser button. If you see your data saved in that copy of Firefox, press the Set as default profile button to make sure that Firefox opens this profile each time.

Hope this helps.

Hi juliaayeaye, Firefox can have multiple profiles. To see what the program is aware of, you can type or paste the special internal address

about:profiles

in the address bar and press Enter to load it. (Please refer to Wesley's reply for next steps after that.)

- - - -

Also, occasionally, Windows starts up in an odd way that prevents Firefox from accessing its own data files. This usually clears up after a system restart so you might try doing a normal Windows shutdown and restart to see whether that helps.

There was no other profiles and i've restarted laptop now and nothing changed. :/ I don't know how it happen. The only thing I did before this happen was I uninstall chromium which always infect my computer and bring me Bing searchbar I dont know if that affected firefox somehow.

Hi, please refer to this article Recover user data missing after Firefox update, to make sure you are using your original Profile. You can follow the instructions to test if any other Profile you see is the original one.

If that doesn't help, and in case a Refresh has occurred, please look on your Desktop for a file named Old Firefox Data - Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings (Do not click the Refresh button in the article). If it's there, you can copy and paste the files into any Profile that you have, and any existing files will be overwritten by the new ones.
