I am using a specific software which works only on particular version of Firefox. After installation of a required older version I donot want to auto upgrade the version. How to stop auto upgrade in Firefox?

Type about:preferences#advanced<enter> in the address bar. Under Advanced, Select Update.

Check the settings. "Check for updates, but let you choose whether to install them"

Also turn off Use a background service to install updates <Windows Only>
