Google News extremely slow to load. Firefox hangs.
This has been going on for months and has been reported both in Mozilla and Google support forums. Just updated FF now and it seems even worse. There seems to be no clear answer on what the problem is or which or both company is at fault.
FF hangs up to 30 seconds when loading Google News. Every time one changes sections, same thing. Chnage News "country", same problem.

Try to disable accessibility services in Firefox.
- Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security -> Prevent accessibility services from accessing your browser
- https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/accessibility-services

Unfortunately, this didn't fix things. (Although I did say that Firefox "hung" when loading Google News; it seemed to do this only occasionally and doesn't seem to do that now. IOW, other tabs open in FF may be accessed and navigated, but I'm not sure there has been an improvement in this regard either.)
Seems to be a loading or rendering (?) problem? First a bit of Google News appears, then there is a long pause of up to 30 seconds before the page can be scrolled. Even the box for changing news country source is afflicted with the same issue.
Thx.
