What is sounds like you are referring to is your search engine, not your internet browser. Firefox is simply the program that you use to load websites. A search engine is the website that you use to search with. Google Chrome is an internet browser, like Firefox, but Google is also a search engine that can be used in most internet browsers because it's just a website. In fact, Google is the default search engine for Firefox because it's by far the most common one.
