Hoe do I download videos from c-span
It seems that C-SPAN uses some kind of trick to prevent downloading any of their videos . Firefox, a couple of years ago, allowed ANY video to be downloaded in a straightforward manner. But this capability vanished about a year ago. It appears that the "pocket" feature would promote video downloading, but making it work is apparently a deep dark Mozilla secret.

Firefox has never had a built-in feature that allowed users to download videos to disk and save them. But there are many video download extensions available for Firefox that users can install.

I played an example video, and the C-Span player uses a script to retrieve a sequence of individual video files it plays one after another. Firefox can't assemble these fragments into a video file using built-in features. You'll need an add-on.

This response is simply gibberish. The question remains un-answered.

I did read your original post .... Could it be that you didn't quite understand the response you got from both "the-edmeister" and "jscher2000" ? Using an add-on would be an alternative to what you want ....

It looks like C-Span switched to the current player around January 2018. Firefox does not offer right-click > Save Video As... on the current player due to the way it retrieves video fragments in the background. You will need to use an add-on.
