How do I remove Adobe Flash from my system/Firefox ?

If you are sure you want to remove Flash (some sites still use
Flash ... ), you could follow the instructions, mentioned in this article :

The End of Life of the Flash Player from Adobe is not until late 2020.

I realize that, but I was thinking to get an early start removing it from my life. Unless Firefox is going to automatically delete it when it becomes closer to its expiration date, why not remove it sooner than later?

No reason why you shouldn't remove it if you don't visits sites that (still) use Flash. Just follow the instructions that are mentioned in those links. Flash isn't installed in Firefox; it's installed on your system.
