config permissions.default.shortcuts=1 behaviour changed in 65.0; is that an intended change or a bug
In a textbox we used ctrl+L to pop up a list of values and this workt with the config parameter permissions.shortcuts.default=1 Since 65.0 this doesn't work anymore and the default action (go to the adressbar) is taken.
Is there a way to restore this functionality?

the config parameter permissions.shortcuts.default=1
Hello JanOd,
The preference is permissions.default.shortcuts .......
Sorry, you are right; i typed it wrong.
ik copied the next line from the config-page. permissions.default.shortcuts;1
Just a typo ......
I have no idea why that preference doesn't work anymore - so many things (including preferences) have changed lately :(
Maybe someone else will come up with a solution for you (fingers crossed).
Stab in the dark : maybe there's something helpful in these search results
Thanks McCoy; i've scanned the search results and there may be a workaround somewhere in them or I could replace the keycombination in the application. But i prefer a solution where the permissions.default.shortcuts = 1 acts like before. The application at hand catches the ctlr + L combination and pops up the LOV.
I just found this thread :

As I don't know what exactly it is that you want to do, I thought that maybe this would help ..... (?)
Thanks, This is the issue; To be able to override a default FF key, you should set the value of permissions.default.shortcuts to 1 but this does not work anymore.

Yes, I thought that's what you wanted, but I wasn't sure .....
But as for that preference not working anymore : maybe somebody else will know why, and (more importantly) if there's an alternative.
Sorry that I haven't been very helpful ..... :(
Not giving up just yet .....
I found these add-ons :
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/addon/shortkeys/
and :

Any good ?
