When I open Firefox screens they are all minimized and I can't resize them. I downloaded the newest version of Firefox but I still can't resize.
This is a new problem that only started yesterday.
Chosen solution
Right-click on the Firefox icon and select Open New Window. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Sometimes this works. If it opens, close it by Menu > File > Exit. This will flush out that web page from the Session Store.

However this doesn't quite solve my problem because the FireFox screens I open are always Minimized and I can't resize them and I can't open the Menu option from the minimized screens.

You close Firefox from the newly opened window as directed above. Is the problem still there?
Because the screen is minimized and I can't maximize or resize it, I can not get to the Menu on the screen and thus cannot exit that way. The only way I see the screens are when the cursor is on the Firefox button at the bottom the of screen and I see only tiny versions of the screens.

That is what I have been doing. Right Click on the Firefox icon and select 'Open New Window' However the screen is already minimized, and I can't resize it or restore it or maximize it. That is the problem.

Hello AnokaTony,
Would it be possible for you to provide a screenshot of what such minimized screen looks like ?
If you need help to create a screenshot, please see :
How do I create a screenshot of my problem?
Once you've done this, attach the saved screenshot file to your forum post by clicking the Browse... button below the Post your reply box.
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/changes-toolbars-and-window-sizes-are-not-saved You may have corrupt xulstore.json or Localstore.rdf files.
Close Firefox. Open your file browser to this hidden location:
- Mac: *~/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profiles
- Linux: *~/.mozilla/firefox/Profiles
- Windows: %AppData%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles
- *C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles
- Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data
\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\
Search for the above files. Then rename or delete them. Restart Firefox.
I finally figured out what you wanted me to do, but I did some thing stupid before that. I renamed the library that was in C:\Users\Admin\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles without writing down the name of that library. So now Firefox is saying my profile is missing.

I'm back in business with FireFox by creating a Default Profile. My original problem has gone away, and it won't take long to set up my preferences. Thank You all for your much needed help. You can close this problem.

To FredMcD,
Of the four solutions you listed I used the following to fix my problem: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles
I believe your previous suggestion in the previous email would have fixed the problem also if I hadn't messed it up.
Glad to help. Safe Surfing.
