[FIXED] Problem with Flash Player / Website : Website is asking to "activate" local storage but nothing seems to work
Hello
So I'm on a certain website that use flash player a lot and I realized that suddenly, there was no history of the chats I had with people. Curious, I decided to clean all that with CCleaner but now, the website is asking me to "activate local storage" to be able to access the website and to make sure I'm not in private mode. And nothing is working. Here is what I tried so far :
- Update Flash Player - Uninstall and install again - Add a permission in the firefox cookies and data - Tried to right click > Options (I get only "Allow" or "Refuse" without anything else. No mention of the capacity I want to give nor anything. Just the two options) - Tried Right Click > Global options > add manually the website. (But the website instantly disappears once I close firefox, not working and I can't even modify anything if Firefox is opened) - Going on http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/fr/flashplayer/help/settings_manager02.html (Nothing seems to be saved, as soon as I go onto another tab, it's like the first one got resetted.)
So I'm getting a bit desperate. Using chrome work (but I'm using mainly firefox), going into private mode does work too (even though it said to not be in private mode) but regular firefox isn't working at all. And as I said, I can't even choose how much space I want to give. All I can do is "allow" or "refuse" but click on any does nothing at all.
I hope you'll be able to help me. Thanks.

I'm giving this one a thumb up to update the situation. The website start working anew but the problem about flash remain. I'm unable to keep a chat history as well as any preference I have (writting color, font). It ask me to give the website more space for storage to activate local storage and to put 10 Mb or more. But I still can't. All I can do is authorizing or refusing. What can I do?

Right-Click on a Flash video to Bring-up the Box for Global settings, which apparently has done away with the amount of disk space options per site.
You can try to Delete/Reset all Flash Settings to see if it might help. It may not, as there is a FireFox 64-Bit Version bug. See:

The links you gave are the exact same as the one I give. I did tried to go in the global settings but nothing work as well. Seems like I won't be able to do something about it unless I switch browser and hope it get fixed later on.

Mac NPAPI Sandbox - Mozilla Firefox
The Mac NPAPI Flash sandbox is enabled by default on Firefox 62 and later.
Disabling the sandbox requires using about:config to set...
dom.ipc.plugins.sandbox-level.flash to 0
...and then restarting the browser. The sandbox is known to prevent the following features from working:
- Print to PDF from the Flash print dialog
- Print to “Open in Preview” from the Flash print dialog
- Quicklook in the File->Open dialog
- Saving files to the filesystem from a Flash applet
- Flash applets downloading and running the Adobe Air installer
- Flash triggering Adobe Air applications to run

It seems like the new flash + firefox version and the sandbox manual changes fixed my problem. I hope I won't need to come back anytime soon. Thanks for the help!
Edit : I still don't have directly the choice of the size I allow for storage though.

I think Adobe got rid of that. It probably allows any size needed. If a site would want a ridiculous size amount, I suppose there may be a 'warning' about it or some notice. What sites use 100MB or more in Flash anyway?
I just checked my sites and the largest I see is a little over 1k.
