permission access request notification won't go away

On my Microsoft Surface Pro, permission access notifications remain on the screen after the computer sleeps and wakes up. Neither of the buttons work (don't allow, allow) and the X will not work to close the notification out. Nothing will get rid of it except to close out of Firefox completely and start a new session.
