How can I find out if my addons are snooping on me?
Is there any way to go through my addons and find out what they're up to?
I'm hoping there might be some tool which could tell me what kind of traffic my Firefox is creating and screen the addons in some way.

I read this article which is why I was asking if there was a way for me to vet my own addons and determine if they're safe and not snooping. At the moment it seems to be a case of Mozilla happens to notice the issue and removes them. But there are thousands of addons and there is no way Mozilla can check them all.

The best thing you can do is to read the add-ons privacy policy, reviews, and if possible, the add-ons source code. Also notice the permissions the add-on requests when you install it, and keep an eye out for weird behavior.
Unfortunately, add-ons are powerful, and they may sometimes do things that seem suspicious, but are not actually. So it's best to trust, but verify, which requires some manual work from time to time.

This is pretty useful. But it's hard to link domains listed to individual addons. The refresh button does not seem to remove the old domains from the list.
