Hi, you may want to check your Windows 10 settings as someone had something similar yesterday. So some where in Settings was the issue.

Have looked can not find the question.

Thanks cor-el. I also have a custom text size set to 110%. While changing this resolves the issue with FF it does not solve the problem for me. Hopefully Mozilla will fix this problem in a future release.

Hi, well you have gone to great lengths to uninstall. as long as have backups to bookmarks and tings need then move to a safe place and use this : https://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download.html Then : uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files , C:\Program Files(x86) & C:\ProgramData Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. (Note: This should be Pinned and run Weekly, If never done below expect 10's of gig's) Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved. But you should make a back up before you do :

Reinstall with Current Release Firefox 62.0.2 with a Full Version Installer

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

i did as you asked and also deleted the roaming profile and ran a cleanup with JV16 power tools. Still not working. It looks as though I can increase text size using the default levels but FF does not work when setting custom sizes.

I believe it is a windows 10 issue and we will be unable to resolve this.

Thanks for you help, Alan

Hi, ya I would think so.

Please : use this MS Dos Command to cleanup your registry errors and replace system files that are corrupted, note it if files found it downloads from MS. 1) Use the Windows key + X keyboard shortcut to open the Power User menu and select Command Prompt (Admin). 2) Type or Copy/Paste the following command and press Enter: 3) DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth 4) Reboot

Please go to Settings --> System --> About and check that your running WIn10 version 1803 as next major release is just weeks away, install if not https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

Apparently your issue isn't covered by the two bugs that are referenced and fixed in Firefox 62. These two bugs are about session restore as you can see by the component. Your issue is about opening a new window.

  • 1489214 - Window isn't restored in prior position on external-monitor with > 100% DPI
  • 1489852 - The browser size will increase with each reboot when you exit the browser in maximized mode

Maybe file a new bug report if you can come up with steps to reproduce that can reliably reproduce the problem for others because the two bugs are marked as VERIFIED FIXED (if you would post in these bugs then you likely will be asked to create a new bug report).
