Hi,

I was not aware that on a new computer Firefox could crush and would not show report. After restarting computer I checked Firefox trouble shooting many reports are there including the latest one.

I wish I could attach the report in text format but I can not therefore, using complete page (image grab screen shot) hope that might give you some hints about the cause of crush. Or if there is a way to attach report please inform.

Thank you Ari

Type about:preferences#advanced<enter> in the address bar. Select Data Choices. Turn on Enable Crash Reporter.

Note: For Firefox 56+ its; about:preferences#privacy Under Firefox Data Collection turn on Allow Firefox To Send Crash Reports.

In the address bar, type about:crashes<enter>. Note: If any reports do not have BP- in front of the numbers/letters, click it to submit them.

The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.

Using your mouse, mark the most recent 7 - 10 crash reports, and copy them. Now go to the reply box and paste them in.

This is a shutdown hang where Firefox takes too much time to close and a crash is forced.

  • bp-b1809d08-8c40-47ec-8769-b2d8d0180911
  • Firefox 62.0 Crash Report [@ IPCError-browser | ShutDownKill ]

Such shutdown crashes can have a lot of causes and there is usually not much to tell about.

You can create a new profile to test if your current profile is causing the problem.

See "Creating a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.
