Can't Open Doc with Microsoft Office

When I try to Download a Word Document and select "Open with" and scroll down to Applications, none of the Microsoft Office applications are shown so when I go to download a file that's an Office app, I can't download it as a Microsoft Office file. I just purchased a new computer, downloaded the Office applications and activated them

Hi, not so new : as should update your Video Card Drivers : adapterDescription: Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600 driverDate: 10-16-2017 Always keep updated and a few years from now save the full installers for your card. If this has not been update should find out your Motherboard maker/model with Cpu-z : https://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html and go to their homepage for make and model and update your drivers for the next 4 yrs there if you can.

US stuff is weird to me, I build my own or tell them what I want then I look after it like the above.

Microsoft had a thing going in a few beta releases that would only allow you to download with IE and only allow MS products to open MS stuff. As to getting MS Stuff into the Applications not sure you need to find the File Type if there then Use Other :
