Firefox does not conform to the rule - I changed the options in about:config to a 2 - I also changed the strict to false - I still get the Insecure Connection - "Your connection is not secure" error - It is not present any time until I use the VSO down loader. Once activated even Mozilla is not trusted nor can an exception be made as the button is not there. I searched the form for hours and tried all the things to circumvent this error - I even tried the built in save the video - it will get about 10 to 12% and drop off when using firefox to save video - Also when i use FireFox it will only pull 12 to 20 KB download speed - Making video downloads last for 13 to 15 hours if completed - this is why i choose VSO it uses good bandwidth.

Firefox version: 61.0 Operating system: Windows 10- 64 bit - Flash up to date - cookies removed -

"Set this pref to true on the about:config page in case other software adds its root certificate to the Windows certificate store."

While running the VSO - I am a pleased FireFox user and promoter.

Live free and show it for all to see it is the way.

Not the problem I do not use avg - avast - I am clean of virus - Its pretty simple to see what the problem is. I it is not so simple to fix. When Vso loads into memory and runs it plugs in a proxy this is stopping the FireFox from being able to check the Certificates. All functions normal in Opra browser. The biggest thing in the complaint is it only happens when i use VSO Downloader. When all tweaks are made in the about:config to tell FireFox not to bother it still does- My origin question is how to stop the FireFox from disabling my connections, Even when I know this form is safe it prevents me from adding an exception to the error. ( IE the button is not there to add one. ) While using VSO Downloader. I love FireFox been with them since the Netscape Navigator days - I loved the Html editor. I have been a Mozilla freak all these years supported and filled out petitions and tried to keep it safe. this is why I am asking for help to solve the problem - Opera is a little timid I do not want to give up on this.

You will have to install the VSO root certificate in the Firefox Certificate Manager. You can export this certificate in a browser that works.

An alternative could to to enable importing root certificate from the Windows certificate store.

Set this pref to true on the about:config page in case other software adds its root certificate to the Windows certificate store.

  • security.enterprise_roots.enabled = true

You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I accept the risk!" to continue.
