why is chome blocking Firefox? if I want chrome, why install FF, chrome://global/content/bindings/browser.xml:247
I don't want Chrome !!! The reason why I installed Firefox is because they promoted loudly, that Firefox is without
"patronizing and imposing" interference. Did I get this wrong? Why is this scripting crap: "chrome://global/content/bindings/browser.xml:247" constantly crashing, blocking, slowing down my Firefox>>??
What is the fix to eliminate chrome pls ? Thanks for your feedback Rhnyc
Chosen solution
Firefox uses the "chrome://" protocol to access internal files and use chrome in other cases like userChrome.css (no relation with Google Chrome).

HI, separate security issue : please remove Flash 28.0 r0 and 29.0 r0 https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html As they are both intertwined now they need to be removed. Reinstall : Flash Player Version: 29.0.0.171 Current Version https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/ Step 1: Select Operating System Step 2: Select A Version (Firefox, . . . .) Note: Other software is offered in the download. <Windows Only>
Chrome has been a part of Firefox longer then there was a browser made by Google called Chrome. chrome in Firefox has nothing to do with the other.
chrome://global/content/bindings/browser.xml:247 I can not nail down this exact error, it may have to do with a Extension you have installed please try this to see if : SAFE MODE
- https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Safe+Mode
- https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes
In Firefox Safe mode these changes are effective:
- all extensions are disabled (about:addons)
- default theme is used (no persona)
- userChrome.css and userContent.css are ignored (chrome folder)
- default toolbar layout is used (file: localstore-safe.rdf)
- Javascript JIT compilers are disabled (prefs: javascript.options.*jit)
- hardware acceleration is disabled (Options > Advanced > General)
- plugins are not affected
- preferences are not affected
TEST''''is issue still there ?
Get back to us after testing lease and let us know if the issue stopped in Safe Mode and we will figure out the next step. When you do please list what extensions/add-ons you have installed. Thank You.

chrome:// is a chrome url and as said has nothing to do with the separate Google Chrome web browser which came out in 2008 long after Mozilla suite (now SeaMonkey), Firefox (Sept 2002) and Thunderbird did.
http://kb.mozillazine.org/Chrome_URLs https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Chrome_Registration
https://developer.mozilla.org/docs/Glossary/Chrome
In a browser, the chrome is any visible aspect of a browser aside from the webpages themselves (e.g., toolbars, menu bar, tabs). This is not to be confused with the Google Chrome browser.
since userChrome.css was mentioned. http://kb.mozillazine.org/userChrome.css
Hi 'Pkshadow and TY for the explanation that this is not the Google chrome and very happy to hear that !!! I don't want "spying" Google on my laptop. I have successfully cxld + re-installed a fresh Adobe Let me see if the "script" error message pops up again. I will keep you posted.
BTW: the add ons I have installed are: Adblock Plus, Cache cleaner, Ebates, RoboForm password, Price comparison tool
Thank you so much for your detailed help will keep you posted Renee
