Why has the "deleting individual cookie option" been removed?
Just this week I was deleting individual cookies as they appeared or when I was through with the site. Suddenly, that option is gone. Additionally, the "Manage Data" button/link claims to be the replacement. It does not work. I logged into several sites and nothing appeared in cookies. This includes my google account which dumps a copious amount of cookies and trackers on your browser. I have taken a picture of where the "show cookies" link/button used to be located.
I don't understand this change. I want control of my privacy and Mozilla is the best but this option being gone and having no real way to delete individual cookies is maddening.
Please tell me how to remedy this.

hi, the section about cookie management and other storage apis that websites may use was consolitated into this single "manage data" option you see in the privacy & security section. in there it's only possible to clear data on a per-domain level. if you want to delete or edit inividual cookies for a site, you can do so in the storage inspector of the developer tools: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Tools/Storage_Inspector

You can inspect cookies and passwords and permissions for the domain in the currently selected tab via these steps:
- click the Control Center 'i' icon at the left end of the location/address bar
- click the arrow to expand the security message
- click "More Information" to open "Tools -> Page Info"
- click "Security" to inspect and modify cookies and passwords and inspect the certificate in a standalone window
- click "View Cookies" in "Tools -> Page Info -> Security" to inspect the cookies for the domain in the currently selected tab
the way through the page info panel won't work in upcoming versions any more though.
The Page Info window is still there in 61+ and now has a button to "Clear Cookies and Site Data" that shows a list of domains that will be removed, so there is no control possible (no search bar). It doesn't seem to work very well though because on the Add-ons website (addons.mozilla.org) it wants to remove cookies from developer.mozilla.org as well (sight...) to it looks that is only looks for the top level domain.
Note that if you want to use the Storage Inspector that easiest is to have the Developer Toolbar visible at the bottom of the Firefox window (Shift+F2) or use the F9 keyboard shortcut. It is possible to open the developer tools in a standalone window.

This does not address the question. The OP wants granular control over the cookies on his computer - as do I - and this feature has been removed in the latest update of FF. The new "all or nothing" control simply doesn't cut it. When I have been browsing for a while, I want to be able to look back at the list of cookies stored and delete ones that I dont want while keeping the ones I do. Taking the advice in the above response, if I have closed (or moved on from) the tabs showing the sites whose cookies I want to remove, I now have to reopen those sites to do it. For each and every one of them, and thats very inconvenient.
This was a very loved feature of FF for me, please reconsider!
