Why old tabs keep appearing when I start new session of Firefox.

That was my problem, and I seem to have found the solution!

The cause is because I closed Firefox without having closed one by one every tab that was still opened.

You see, Firefox wants us to pay our respects to every tab we open, and then close it up, so that when you have already closed the last tab, Firefox will close up itself.

So, next time you start Firefox again, the old tabs will no longer open up.

Try it: it worked for me, after so much trouble trying to fix it - and almost destroyed my computer.

Firefox does not save tabs unless you have asked it to and your version supports this or you have a add-on installed that supports this.

The Refresh feature (called "Reset" in older Firefox versions) can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your bookmarks, history, passwords, cookies, and other essential information.

Note: When you use this feature, you will lose any extensions, toolbar customizations, and some preferences. See the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article for more information.

To Refresh Firefox:

  1. Open the Troubleshooting Information page using one of these methods:
    • Click the menu button New Fx Menu, click help Help-29 and select Troubleshooting Information. A new tab containing your troubleshooting information should open.
    • If you're unable to access the Help menu, type about:support in your address bar to bring up the Troubleshooting Information page.
  2. At the top right corner of the page, you should see a button that says "Refresh Firefox" ("Reset Firefox" in older Firefox versions). Click on it.
  3. Firefox will close. After the refresh process is completed, Firefox will show a window with the information that is imported.
  4. Click Finish and Firefox will reopen.

You should be on the Extended Release Version (52.7.3ESR) if you are not already.

Please update your Flash 28 Flash Player Version: 29.0.0.113 Current Version https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/ Step 1: Select Operating System Step 2: Select A Version (Firefox, . . . .) Note: Other software is offered in the download. <Windows Only>
