Firefox wont open in Windows 10. To overcome this I tried to uninstal Firefox so that I could re-instal the latest version, but I'm told I can't do this because Firefox is open. Following advice in the support forum I set about clearing all the files from the profile folder, which I did with the exception of the parental lock file. I suspect that this file is preventing Firefox from opening. How do I remove it ?

Chosen solution

Close Firefox. Use this link; http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox#Navigating_to_the_profile_folder to open your Firefox profile in the file browser.

Look for and delete; parent.lock
