Twitter doesn't load properly in my Firefox. I use Version 58.0.1 of Firefox. only text contents are shown. no media such as photos and videos does not loaded.

I also cleared cache & cookies, but the problem still exists.

Hello,

The Refresh feature (called "Reset" in older Firefox versions) can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your bookmarks, history, passwords, cookies, and other essential information.

Note: When you use this feature, you will lose any extensions, toolbar customizations, and some preferences. See the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article for more information.

To Refresh Firefox:

  1. Open the Troubleshooting Information page using one of these methods:
    • Click the menu button New Fx Menu, click help Help-29 and select Troubleshooting Information. A new tab containing your troubleshooting information should open.
    • If you're unable to access the Help menu, type about:support in your address bar to bring up the Troubleshooting Information page.
  2. At the top right corner of the page, you should see a button that says "Refresh Firefox" ("Reset Firefox" in older Firefox versions). Click on it.
  3. Firefox will close. After the refresh process is completed, Firefox will show a window with the information that is imported.
  4. Click Finish and Firefox will reopen.

If you use extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) that can block (wanted) content (Adblock Plus, NoScript, Ghostery, Privacy Badger, uBlock Origin) always make sure such extensions do not block (wanted) content.

  • make sure your extensions and filters are updated to the latest version

There is Tracking Protection that can block (wanted) content, so check the location/address bar for special icons.

If you use Adblock Plus then you can consider uBlock Origin as a replacement to see if that works better (lower memory footprint).

I want to restart this issue as I cannot load Twitter (Desktop) using Firefox Quantum 60.0.2 (64 bit).

I have tried all the tips outlined above but still have no success. The strange thing is that the problem does not exist when I use

1) Mobile Twitter 2) Other Browser choices like Edge, Chrome, Safari or even Puffin!

Can anyone in this forum help please?

      • UPDATE***

I have attached a screenshot of the result of bookmarking the Twitter Home page and then clicking on it. Once I click on 'OK', I am then able to see my Account and Twitter feed. Very strange...

Some pages might be retrieved from the server by sending POST data and this can especially happen if you are logged in. If this POST data or get data appended to the link has expired then the website might show an error. Some pages may also require specific cookies to be send with the request, so always be cautious when you bookmark a web page.

Some more information on my experience.

When I try to access Twitter via a Google search and click on this link https://twitter.com/i/flow/signup?lang=en

It will then take me to the screen shot attached from where I can access my account. However, if I bookmark this page, I cannot load Twitter at all.

Still no constructive feedback? I am strongly considering switching to Chrome as my default browser as I have noticed a number of relatively small 'bugs' cropping up in Chromium. Desktop versions of Twitter and Instagram do not load properly and cannot be embedded on third party websites.

Disappointing.

Hi mozillapat

It is possible that there is GET data in the link/bookmark or there is POST data present in case you bookmarked a link that was retrieved by sending a form. If you use a bookmark then navigate to the web page starting with the main page or the sign in page in case there is a problem with this bookmark.

Yes, this is indeed possible. Is there a solution to resolving this? I would ideally like to access Twitter/Instagram via a bookmark rather than login/out of the homepage. Thanks
