I switched my home page to MSN.com. Now, when clicking on a news link on that home page, it won't open in a new tab even though settings are as such.

Interesting that Edge opens in a new tab, but IE behaves like Firefox is and does not.

Hello, you have to right click on the link and choose Open Link in New Tab for that :)

To do this try this add-on: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/new-tab-override/

If this solved your problem, please mark as solution.

Thank you for your response.

The issue I am asking for help with is a different one. If I open Firefox and am at my home page and I click on a link on that page, it opens up on the same tab instead of opening a new tab to view the link. In other words, after I click on a link and it opens, there is only one tab displayed: the one displayed when I opened the browser.

Regarding the link you provided: I do prefer that Firefox opens new tabs with my home page, but I don't like the permissions I must allow to use the add-on.

Thanks again though.
