Font size defaulted by itself on main page. V45.xx

Was running T'bird V45.xx and the font size reverted back to the tiny default size by itself. I tried to get add-ons but nothing would work. I then began to upgrade one at a time checking for the font add-ons and non worked. Currently running V52.5.2 Mac Mavericks. (CMD +only changed the size in the new email)

If you have been using the Theme Font & Size Changer add-on to fix things, it stopped working on 5th Jan.

Possible workarounds:

  1. Use an unofficial patched version of the add-on
  2. Change a scaling parameter in the Config Editor
  3. Create a userChrome.css file
