I'm a 90 year old who uses the web for basic needs and I'm sure trying to master the new version of Firefox will prove too much for me. Will the old version with which I'm very happy with, still be available to use over the next few years ?

If you are familiar with the earlier design you can change certain settings in Quantum to make it feel similar to the earlier Firefox.

Here's what you do:

  • In the New Tab window click on the Gear in the right corner and uncheck Highlights and Snippets and anything you do not wish to see.
  • Go to Customize from the button right below the Close (X) and drag the empty space near the left of the address bar down.
  • Use the Light theme if you wish.

This should leave you with a look that is similar to the earlier design to a certain extent. :)

Not much different here if use the Gear Icon right corner and turn off Tiles. Give that a try. If need more help turn things around to look like you want, there are ways.

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

Thanks, Pkshadow, if I have no option but to upgrade to the new Firefox Quantum, I'll keep your reply in mind. However what I would really like to know is, how long can I continue to use the existing version and if I upgrade to the new Quantum, will that remove the old version from my computer or is it a completely new down load ??
