The tabs really don't work for me. I mean, they interfere with having enough of our back-end on screen to get actual work done. Windows already provides that function with something called a 'taskbar'. They are pretty persistent now, and hide tab bar with 1 tab is apparently no longer working. How do I roll back to my last version of FF; or , how do I migrate my stuff to chrome? All these years and I am about ready to migrate, this is such persistent silliness. NO amount of finally fixing the constant speed problems is going to override huge ugly elements that interfere with actually using a browser...because no particular reason.

Hi there, to downgrade to an older version, first uninstall your current install and delete your profiles http://kb.mozillazine.org/Uninstalling_Firefox -- then install the current ESR version (long term support release pre-quantum) from here: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/all/

Is there a way to salvage all of my logins and other data at this point?

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-where-firefox-stores-user-data Save your profile. In a ideal world it should be saved when you follow this : Please uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files(x86) Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved. Can recheck if still there. %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\

Now am not sure if profile is compatible going that far back go to Bookmarks --> Show all Bookmarks --> Import & Export --> Export as HTML. Screen shoot your passwords and your ready to go.

Then install 52.4.1 https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/all/

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.
