unable to print from Firefox
I am running Windows 10 with all 'latest updates. Since about 56.0.1, I have been unable to print from Firefox, either to my printer or PDF. I have no problem printing from Edge or Chrome, Thunderbird, Word, Excel, etc., so the problem is localized to Firefox.
I receive an 'error during print', with the following details: Internal error in module unknown 00007FFE2AA3321E base address 0000000000000000 reason c0000005'.
A web search did not turn up anything helpful.
Thinking it might be an add-on, I disabled each one, restated Firefox and tried printing again - no joy. i disabled them all manully, restarted, Firefox, an tried again - no joy.
Using the 'help' tab, I restarted with all add-ons disabled and entered safe mode. Printing works,, both to the printer and PDF.
Does anyone have a fix? Does anyone know why disabling the add-on manually does not restore printing, but running in 'safe mode' does?

Well, refresh worked but I had to customize my profile all over again.
Interestingly, refresh only works for the profile you execute it from, not all your profiles.
I still wish I knew what broke.

Hello, Since safe mode worked for you, try refreshing Firefox to permanently fix this issue on your end:
The Refresh feature (called "Reset" in older Firefox versions) can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your bookmarks, history, passwords, cookies, and other essential information.
Note: When you use this feature, you will lose any extensions, toolbar customizations, and some preferences. See the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article for more information.
To Refresh Firefox:
- Open the Troubleshooting Information page using one of these methods:
- Click the menu button
, click help
and select Troubleshooting Information. A new tab containing your troubleshooting information should open.
- If you're unable to access the Help menu, type about:support in your address bar to bring up the Troubleshooting Information page.
- Click the menu button
- At the top right corner of the page, you should see a button that says "Refresh Firefox" ("Reset Firefox" in older Firefox versions). Click on it.
- Firefox will close. After the refresh process is completed, Firefox will show a window with the information that is imported.
- Click Finish and Firefox will reopen.

Thank you.
Thank you but I won't refresh Firefox without knowing what the problem is or whether a refresh will do anything.
I have a 'vanilla' profile that has never had add-ons installed and I cannot print from that profile either. I don't believe that this is an add-on issue; it appears to be in the guts of Firefox.
Try making a fresh profile under about:profiles, and then launch in a new browser window -- by clicking the button that says this, from there try printing what you need, if that works -- a refresh will fix your problem.
Then I would suggest since no Extensions that you Please uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files(x86) Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved.
Reinstall with Current Final Release Firefox 57.0 (non-beta) with a Full Version Installer https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ Note : Legacy Extensions will be disabled and or removed.
If the problem persists it may or may not be in your profile. Or need to look at other things for a solution.
Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.
