Hi! Today I saw, that beta version of Firefox 58 came out. So I checked if I have updates and beta channel found one. After update I went to "About Firefox program" section to check my version and it was 57.0 I didn't knew why I had this version. After few minutes I had an idea. I went to firefox main site and to beta version download site. I checked what version is there and it was 58, so I downloaded it. But after installation I'm still having 57.0 Can someone tell me what to do? And why I'm not having this update? Is it beacuse I'm not using English version of Firefox, but Polish?

Chosen solution

Note the regular Beta (`beta` channel) version is at v57 in release candidate stages, being prepped for release to the general public on Nov 14. Developer Edition users (`aurora` channel) were pushed 58 yesterday (https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/58.0beta/releasenotes/) and I'm assuming Beta will get 58 when 57 moves to release.

@Moses Ok, so i will wait to Nov 15.

@Pkshadow I was thinking about downloading nightly few times before, but I think that everyday updates can be irritating. Like I said to Moses, I will wait to Nov 15 and see if I will have this update then.

And I want to ask you about another thing. Are you using nightly update channel? If you do, please tell me did you had problems with browser? Any bugs or something? (I know that this things happens in versions of programs like that and I know that those version can be download to find bugs and other errors. But I want to know Are they often appers?)

Pkshadow may not use Nightly but I have been using it for the past 3 years and I got the chance to gradually see the Photon design & Quantum pieces land as it was being worked on. Amazing progress so far. As of now, Nightly is pretty stable. There is always a chance some show-stopping bug will show up but that hasn't happened so far. Unless you enable some experimental pref like WebRender, which is still a work-in-progress, you will see some jankness. But overall, it's smooth. You'll see the most cutting edge developments along with a increased risk of potential breakage but if you are on Reddit, you can go to /r/firefox and check that out. Redditors post things they discover about Nightly there and http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewforum.php?f=23 has a daily changelog of what lands on Nightly daily. Note that if you choose to run Nightly, it will update twice a day now, once in the morning and once in the late afternoon / nighttime.

@moses Ok, so I'm changing update channel to nightly. But still I have a one last question. Are those updates big? Becuse I have a limited internet transfer. And I have mall transfer on day and big on night.

As mentioned before, Firefox nightly will normally update twice a day. These updates vary in size depending on what changes have been made. If you miss an update you may have to download the full package.

Nightly updates twice each day, so if you miss these updates then you need to download the full version. You can consider the beta update channel or the Developer Edition update channel. That way you only have two updates a week. The first beta usually appears at the end of the week where a release version is offered. The DE version already has updated to 58.0b1

Most Nightly updates so far have been between 5-8 MB. Sometimes they go as high as 42MB.

Ok, thanks for all answers. I installed Nightly, and I'm using it now.
