I keep getting asked to put mozilla on my phone... I don't have a smart phone - I am 60 years old and don't intend to get one.... I don't want to be pestered with things like this. If there is a button for me to pick saying don't ask again I can click it and go on my way... I am sure I am not the only person using your services that does not need all the bells and whistles...

I can't think of a setting like that, but which promotion are you thinking of?

(1) After an update, Firefox displays a tab indicating you are up-to-date and providing other information?

I'm pretty sure you just have to close that tab if the other information is not of interest.

(2) Below the search box on Firefox's built-in home page, one of the rotating snippets suggests adding Firefox to your phone.

Hover your mouse over the snippet and an "X" should appear in the upper right corner of the promotion. Click that to remove it from rotation for the time being (it might come back in a few weeks; I'm not sure how long the block works).
