Error message every time I open my email
I have received this popup (posted below) every single time I open my Thunderbird email. (rainbofa@bellsouth.net) I am struggling because it has become extremely annoying. My gmail account (bill.sherry.farmer@gmail.com) is connected to my Thunderbird account, and the password is correct, so why am I receiving this popup every time I open my Thunderbird account?
Sending of password for user bill.sherry.farmer@gmail.com did not succeed. Mail server pop.googlemail.com responded: Web login required: https://support.google.com/mail/answer/78754
Please help with any guidance on how to remove this popup from continuing to happen. Thank you, Bill Farmer rainbofa@bellsouth.net 770-926-8064

We have already done all of those things, and it still pops up.
For a POP account Google (not Thunderbird) requires you to 'allow less secure apps' for your Google account. This is mentioned in the Google support article linked above. Please confirm you did do that.
Note, 'allowing less secure apps' is Google speak trying to tell you that Google wants you to use their webmail service. It won't make accessing your Gmail account via Thunderbird less secure in any way as long as you do use a strong password.

And did you follow the instructions?
Thank you for your reply. This does NOT answer my question or help the issue. We have already done all of those things, and it still pops up. We would like someone on your end to fix this problem or contact us and walk us through whatever needs to be done to fix this problem. Thank you, Bill Farmer rainbofa@bellsouth.net 770-926-8064
