How were you able to do this? I've followed the instructions from this: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-run-firefox-when-profile-missing-inaccessible but trying to open the Profile Manager just produces the error message over and over and over. thx,

Partisanpixel You may have a corrupt profiles.ini file. Close Firefox. Open your file browser to this hidden location:

  • Mac: *~/Library/Application Support/Firefox/
  • Linux: *~/.mozilla/firefox/
  • Windows: %AppData%\Mozilla\Firefox\
  • *C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\

Locate the profiles.ini file. Then rename or delete it.

Thanks @FredMcD. I have no ~/Library Application Support/Firefox folder, which is odd. Even after I delete all traces of Firefox and reinstall and restart, I get the profiles error. I've done this 3x, always resulting in the profile errors message.

Thanks @FredMcD. I've submitted and issue.

In Mac OS X v10.7 and later, the ~/Library folder in the Home directory is a hidden folder.
