About once a week I come back to a window or tab that is already open and it has moved from wherever I left it to a page that looks like it should be a firefox update but the web address starts with heezetoutembal.org. I never click anything except the back button to get back to my web page. Well, this time I thought I might look around as to why this is happening and tried to go back to the supposed update page but there is no button to click forward after I click back.

Anyone have a clue?? Next time, I'll try to get the whole address.

. Whenever you get a message / popup that software / files need to be updated;

DO NOT USE ANY OF THE PROVIDED LINKS

While this may be a legitimate message, it could also be Malware or a Virus. Anytime you want or need to check for upgrades, go to the website of the True Owner of the program in question. For example, to check out Firefox, go to https://www.mozilla.org {web link}

You can report such a site at; Google Report Phishing Page {web link} which is the same when done while on site by going to Help > Report Web Forgery

For almost a year, an epidemic of Fake Update Notices have been popping up all over the place. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/forum-response-i-found-fake-firefox-update

Thanks for answering so quickly. I know not to click on anything. I was just wondering if anyone else was getting it. I'll try to get a whole screen shot next times. I did look up the domain name and it seems to be registered to a Beatrice Vargas. I found an email and a zip code (Georgia, I think). But that is probably bogus, too.
