no matter what I try my firefox will NOT save bookmarks
I recently reinstalled firefox and at this time no matter what I do or try to do I am unable to save any book marks. Before i uninstalled firefox and reinstalled I had no issues ever creating bookmarks.

What Firefox version do you have?
There have been problems reported with the bookmarks in Firefox 55 in case you have a Windows user account name with a single quote (') or the file path of the Firefox profile folder contains such a quote.
You can install Firefox 54.0.1 until a fix for this is available. Update from 54 to 55 have been disabled because of this issue.
If this doesn't apply then you can check for problems with the places.sqlite database (bookmarks and history) in the Firefox profile folder.

I went back to Firefox 54.0.1 and now I am able to save book marks again, I think I am back in business...Thank you everyone
Note that Firefox 55.0.2 has been released, so if you had an issue with the quote in the profile folder path then you can update to 55.0.2.
