TLS Handshake Hang?
Since this issue seems to be isolated to certain websites & other mentions of similar bugs are for different ones other than where I'm experiencing it, is why I'm making this topic anyway. Upon logging into the RuneScape NXT client there are options to check the in-game message inbox which open in your default browser window. When FF 54.0.1 opens, most of the time it appears like it's stuck doing some TLS Handshake thing to runescape.com. Usually if I let it go for long enough, stop the page & reload it proceeds just fine. Although it has gotten stuck on all portions of this website. Oddly though I haven't experienced this anywhere else, YouTube, Hotmail, Craigslist, MSI Forums, Geforce Forums, RuneScape Wikia, Virus Total, Norton Safe Web & Google Transparency Report function fine. Below I'll include a couple screenshots of what it looks like during & after stopping the page. Unfortunately sometimes stopping the page & reloading doesn't work if it stays white, only turning black lets me know that it will reload correctly. Is there a way I can submit more advanced data to Mozilla so they can come up with a solution since it seems to only be related to a handful of sites?

Hello, I have been experiencing the same error, since the last update to - 54.0.1 (32-bit). Tried everything, but the error is continuos across many site pages. Plus a read of trail of this discussion leads to an inference that the error is constant across different customization(add ons, security plugin, etc) settings of users. Either there is setting problem which is specific to the new version or problem exists in the new version build. Looking for further guidance. Thanks
For the past week or so it's been non-existent for me with Firefox 55.0.2.

If you use extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) that can block (wanted) content (e.g. Adblock Plus, NoScript, Ghostery, uBlock Origin) always make sure such extensions do not block (wanted) content.
- make sure your extensions and filters are updated to the latest version
Boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support to see if that has effect in case security software is causing problems.

You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:
You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
- hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
- press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
- press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the cache and remove the cookies from websites that cause problems via the "3-bar" Firefox menu button (Options/Preferences).
"Clear the cache":
- Options/Preferences -> Advanced -> Network -> Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove the cookies" from websites that cause problems.
- Options/Preferences -> Privacy -> "Use custom settings for history" -> Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
- switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Appearance
- do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window
Try to disable IPv6 (check for other possible causes as well).
If you use AVG then try to disable HTTPS scanning.
Boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support to see if that has effect in case security software is causing problems.

Okay I tried everything & the only one that temporarily worked was disabling IPV6. Although once I restarted my PC it started happening again. I don't have AVG, just Windows 10 Defender with Malwarebytes scanner only which I quit after each scan.
This issue still persists even in FF 55.0.

Thanks for the revert. I have updated to version 55.0.2 just now. Will observe the behaviour across 2/3 days and share the results.
