Each time I send an email, Thunderbird transmits it twice. I can't see any obvious reason in settings.

Chosen solution

They are sent twice or you just see them twice in the Sent folder? I will assume the latter. Some providers like gmail already place a copy of a sent message in the Sent folder. You need to instruct Thunderbird not to do it also. Go to Account Settings and under Copies and Folders turn off the option to save sent messages.

I am having the same problem but they are definitely sent twice. I have had complaints from recipients. Definitely no just a matter of being in the sent folder twice as suggested in the above reply.

My problem IS the same. The details of my own issue are identical. Read my message.

The person who replied to the original made a presumption. If that person had presumed the other way it would have been the answer to my problem.

However, as this seems to upset you. I will go elsewhere to find a solution or find different Email software.

Thank you for your help.
