You keep sending me an email saying someone is trying to sign to my account (it's me) but the address is wrong on the email. My account has the correct address.

Take care with this. Firefox Sync is not intended as a cloud backup service.

I will remove personal info from your post as this is a public forum and partially indexed by search engines.

Have you taken steps to manually back up your Firefox profile ? That is absolutely essential if days saved in the profile and synced by Firefox sync is important to you. NOTE:

  • Data Loss
if you have to reset sync or change the email account used you will lose access to any data on the server prior yo that reset.
  • Data on devices
Sync is additive. If your devices have data it will not be removed to match the server or another device it will only be added to.
  • Bookmarks
If you sync Bookmarks ensure you ocaisionally manually back them up, or backup the whole profile. Sync may sometimes mess up Bookmarks listings with crazy duplications.

Hello, I assume you are talking about the IP the `... PA, United States` address.

We try our best to estimate the address using the IP. (That is why we put `(estimated)`) in the email.). This process is automated and we cannot make it more precise at this moment. This feature is there so you can easily tell if it is NOT you logging it, because then it would show a different State or a different County.

Hope this helps!
