Router: Asus DSL-AC68U Firefox Version: 53.0.3 (64bit)

When I access my router's web administration page, entering the username and password has no effect, not even to display the 'wrong username or password' message that displays if I intentionally enter the wrong password using Internet Explorer 11. When I enter any password using Firefox, the page merely flickers/refreshes.

When using internet explorer to access the same local IP address, the login page functions correctly, allowing access to the router configuration if I enter the password correctly, or informing me if I enter an incorrect password.

The background 'username' and 'password' text disappears when I select the appropriate textbox in Internet Explorer, but not when using Firefox, though I have no idea if this is related (see screenshot).

I have tried creating a new profile and using that, and disable all plugins.
