how to migrate address book
Hello
I recently migrated Thunderbird to a second computer and it went really well thanks to help on the forum
But I now need to migrate all my addresses only to another computer with Thunderbird
How is this done please? It is using csv lists and if so, how would I deal with duplicate addresses as some of theses addresses are already in Thunderbirds on the second computer
Thanks in advance for your help
Chosen solution
Open Address Book, select an address book in the left pane (not All Addresses), then Tools/Export, Save as type: LDIF, name the file. On the other computer, Tools/Import...Address books...Text file... select the LDIF file. When you select All Addresses, contacts are displayed for every address book in which they are stored. If you have the MoreFunctionsForAddressBook add-on, a list of all address books containing a contact is shown when you click Search in the Contact Pane. This makes it easy to delete unnecessary duplicates.

Thanks sfhowes
I can live with the duplicates and as I will have to do this operation occasionally from my main computer to my backup computer, i can just delete the old copied addresses and add the new lists again
