google blocks thunderbird
Google seems to be blocking mail to my Tbird account saying it is a "less secure" app. I've attached the message received from Google. My s.j.palubinski-04@alumni.lboro.ac.uk account is affected, but not others so far. This occurred when I started Tbird which then downloads IMAP mail from the above noted account. The Google message implies that I can still allow access to my mail by Thunderbird, but only by dropping security screening of all apps. What's going on? Is there something I can do?
Steve

You can use OAuth2 or two-factor authentication or application-specific passwords.
