McAfee detects FireFox-FBB as unwanted software on Windows 10. It has been held in quantine and deleted a few times but returns. Is this "unwanted" software risky and/or is it safe to use Firefox if the software continually returns?

BrowseFox-FBB is not part of Firefox and not created by Mozilla. From searching the web, it sounds like it is malicious software with a name that makes it sound like it's part of Firefox.

I agree that this has no relation to Mozilla or the Firefox web browser. https://malwaretips.com/blogs/remove-browsefox-virus/ https://home.mcafee.com/virusinfo/virusprofile.aspx?key=8168246

They do have it listed as a "potentially unwanted program" (PUP)."

McAfee did not permanently remove the BrowseFox-FBB as it was continually reinstalled. I used antimalware software as suggested by Chris and this removed all offending malware. Many thanks for your help.
