. Unfortunately Firefox can't I can get to yahoo with IE

Hi again wrighly, I had hoped that my previous suggestion would work for you. I understand you seem unable to use the link

That does not work for me either in Firefox. It tries to use http://uk.yahhoo.com/ which is not a page Firefox can find and use. Did you try the link I provided, that works for me in Firefox to open a Yahoo UK page

  • https://uk.yahoo.com <== Clickable link
    • Does that work for you if you click that link ?
    • If not please describe what happens and any error message.
      Please paste the full error message in to your reply.
    • Or please try to attach a screenshot of the error message
      Please see How do I create a screenshot of my problem?

If the link works for you it can be made in to your home page or one of your homepages for Firefox. or maybe used as a pinned tab,or tile if that is more convenient:

Thanks for posting back. I will mark your post as the solution to the problem, that makes it visible to others including on external searches and it may help them.

I do wonder if your problem may be something similar to those mentioned in this help article.

However that does not specifically mention AVG. Presumably AVG normally behaves well with Firefox and either yours was faulty or needing updating.
