Last week after closing my two Firefox windows and updating to Firefox version 48.0.2 the next time I opened Firefox again my Recently Closed Windows history was disabled. The main windows with roughly ~200 tabs and the second window with roughly ~10 tabs were lost.

I went into C:\Users\<Username>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles and made a backup of my profile and then tried my best to restore it using restart with addons disabled, restart and refresh, creating a new profile and importing the old settings with the profile manager, downloading Places Maintenance add-on etc. But the only thing I managed to recover was the window with ~10 tabs .

I also downloaded a sqllite DB viewer to try and look through the places.sqllite file myself, but couldn't find anything really useful there. Is this recent window history stored in places.sqllite or in some other place?

Anything else I could try to get the missing window back?

try finding your profile without opening firefox by given steps Finding your profile without opening Firefox

 * (Ubuntu) Click the Places menu on the top right of the screen and select Home Folder. A File Browser window will appear.
  • Click the View menu and select Show Hidden Files if it isn't already checked.
  • Double click the folder marked .mozilla.
  • Double click the folder marked firefox. Your profile folder is within this folder. If you only have one profile, its folder would have "default" in the name.

Then as you are looking for your history search for this is The formhistory.sqlite file remembers what you have searched for in the Firefox search bar and what information you’ve entered into forms on websites.

As I wrote in my post I already know how and where to locate my profile, so I got that covered already. I am using Windows 10 by the way if it helps in any way?

And my question is not related to any search or form history either, it's related to recovering my Recently Closed Window history.
