"subscribe" menu option doesn't show up

I'm running latest version of Thunderbird on a Surface Pro 3 with Win 10 (all current updates). I'm using Thunderbird with work's OWA/Office365 but right-clicking my account doesn't display the "subscribe" option, so I can't access/sync anything that's not in literal inbox.

Subscribe only appears with an IMAP account. If using POP it is not a choice.
