How do I completely uninstall Chrome (I use FF)
Norton Utilities says I still have Chrome installed. I tried it many moons ago but I prefer Firefox. Thought I had completely uninstalled the stupid thing (yeah, it's Google, I know). I still have some files on my hard disk associated with it, but they don't look like they should indicate an installment that's still valid. I could just delete them and see what happens. Also, under Mozilla I see a Chrome folder, but wasn't sure if I should disappear that.
PLatform: Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit
Forgot to add that about:config for me indicates, I think, an active Chrome, so how should I edit those entries?

You can uninstall the Google Chrome browser in Programs and Features. https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95319?hl=en
Any mentions of Chrome in Firefox is completely unrelated to the separate Google Chrome web browser. So you do not need to touch those.

Examples of chrome urls are here though many are old now. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Dev_:_Firefox_Chrome_URLs
The chrome folder you found is used for userContent.css and the userChrome.css which is created manually. http://kb.mozillazine.org/userContent.css http://kb.mozillazine.org/userChrome.css
The browser we know as Firefox existed for six years before the other browser with name of Chrome was even released. Mozilla had the chrome word in use for years before Firefox browser.

Thank you for your comprehensive reply.
I did indeed uninstall it from Programs and Features, so now I would say the problem has something to do with Norton Utilities, not exactly a surprise, if so.
I can see that any Chrome files on my disk under Mozilla are indeed for usercontent.css, also.
Thanks again.
