None of my gmail acccounts are working in Thunderbird

Had to replace my hard drive and reinstall TB. I restored the profile file, it worked for a hour than it stopped getting or even showing any gmail emails I downloaded. It will not let add a new gmail account. I removed one and tried to add it again but fail.

New hard disk, new install of anti virus.

Did you perhaps get one that uses self signed certificates to hack your email? Avast I think is the usual culprit for that. But AVG does something weird as well.
