Have tried repeatedly to update plug-in that says it is blocked. Also states this version has been blocked since 2011. I have checked "Bugzilla" and found nothing to help, even to over ride block, in the hope I could update. Thanks for your help. Cindy

yes, acrobat reader 10.1.0 is outdated, contains many security holes and is therefore blocked by firefox by default.

you should probably uninstall this version through your system control panel and install the current acrobat reader from https://get.adobe.com/reader/ instead...

if you are having a particular problem during installation of the acrobat software, please refer to adobe's documentation on the subject or consult their support: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/troubleshoot-reader-installation-windows.html

hi, please update your adobe reader version: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/install-updates-reader-acrobat.html

The plug-in I have was blocked by Firefox. The info I get from "Bugzilla" states this goes back to 2011. Yes, it says to update and has a link. I CAN NOT FINISH THE UPDATE. It says again Adobe Reader is blocked due to "threat of harmful ----" or some thing on that order. I keep saying it's blocked, blocked as in I can not update. Thanks for any HELP

I also note you have

Shockwave Flash 20.0 r0
Adobe Shockwave for Director Netscape plug-in, version 12.2.4.194
Adobe Shockwave for Director Netscape plug-in, version 11.6.1.629

You may not need the Shockwave Director plugins at all ? Do you need them for anything ? You should probably uninstall them both, certainly the older one. Shockwave Flash will be he standard FlashPlayer used to watch some videos for example. You may check that is up to date by visiting the Adobe test site with Firefox
