when I click on link - I want other window to become active, front window

in Explorer/Edge and Chrome - lets say I have 2 windows open - 2nd window is a result of link I click on first window page. when something changes and I click on that link again - in Chrome/IE - the 2nd window moves to the front so that I can see the updated results. in Firefox currently I have to then click or alt-tab to get the 2nd window and see the results OR I have to close that window every time before I try again....
