When I open my desktop computer, emails are deleted from my netbook and tablet. How do I stop this?

I rarely use my desktop PC but when my wife or I open Thunderbird, my emails are deleted from my netbook, which also uses Thunderbird, and my tablet.

If I am away on business and require access to my emails, I cannot see any if my wife has checked Thunderbird at home.

Sounds like the Desktop is configured as POP and the laptop and tablet use IMAP. If you want to use multiple devices they should all use IMAP or tell the POP devices to leave the messages on the server.

No, all are IMAP and are marked not to delete messages. Still investigating. Cheers
