It's been like this for a long time, but today I thought "this is ridiculous". If I right-click on a file in Windows Explorer I see the "Send to... " command but when I look in the sub-menu there is no "Email to..." or something that will trigger my email program to open a "Write email" window. I use Thunderbird and I have the latest version. My OS is Windows 7 Pro.

This has nothing to do with Thunderbird. I found this by Googling Windows Send To. http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/customize-the-windows-vista-send-to-menu/

Thank you Airmail. Your post gave me the information I needed. I did a search but didn't see this page. Also, the problem is that it used to work a long time ago without me having to do anything. Then the command disappeared one day, and I kept just opening a new email and dragging files into the new email. It just occurred today to me that this was ridiculous. Anyway thanks again for your prompt and helpful reply.
