How do I send files from the File Explorer using the 'Send to' option (when right clicking a file) using Thunderbird instead of Outlook?

I'm attempting to send files straight from the File Explorer in Windows 8.1 using the 'Send to' then Mail recipient option. Does anyone know how to do this? I already made Thunderbird my default email client. Thanks in advance.

You need to make Thunderbird as default for MAILTO. Go to "Default programs" in Start menu, then "Set the default programs", choose Thunderbird and then "Choose the default settings for this program". You need to have checkbox "MAILTO" checked in. Please controll in advance, if U do not have the same column (MAILTO) checked in Outlook too. If yes, uncheck it.
