In QB on line, when try to print a pdf from within the browser, I do not get the needed printer bar. There is no print option. Not a QB issue.

I have worked with QB on this and because it works in Explorer, the issue is not at their end. The option to print does not appear in firefox but does appear in Explorer. My firefox is up-to-date - Version 41.

If you don't see the 3-bar Menu button, maybe the QuickBooks page has hidden the Navigation toolbar; it that case the usual { Ctrl + P } Windows keyboard command can be used to initiate printing.

Or you can hit the Alt key to reveal the Menu Bar and then use File > Print.

It is not really a "bar". It is more like a link. Which shows on Explorer but not on Firefox. File>print does not work. The link allows a pdf to appear which is then printable.
